Composite Project Engineer-09002 *SEE NOTE BELOW



The Composites Project Engineer is tasked to execute the development and production of commercial and DOD composite structures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included but not limited to:

•Review customer specifications
•Develop manufacturing methods and tooling designs
•Write manufacturing procedures, test plans and reports
•Perform material and structural testing
•Interface with customer engineers
•Manage all aspects of a project including: Schedule, budget and resources
•Work closely with AS9100 quality system
•Participate in brain storming sessions for ideas and problem solving



REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

•Minimum 5 years experience as Composites Project Engineer
•Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
•Working familiarity of composite materials and basic composite design and analysis
•CAD design of parts, tooling, molds and fixtures
•Working knowledge of Solid Edge or Solid works and 2D drawing creation
•Concise technical writing skills
•Must have Excel skills for cost and data analysis and Microsoft Project experience
•Travel as needed (approx. 5%)

Complimentary Skills/ Experience

•FE analysis using static and nonlinear Nastran, CAM tool path generation for Lathe and Mill.
